ECONOCOIL® Fabrications
ECONOCOIL® panels can be fabricated into unique shell & plate heat exchangers as banks or integral with vessels. The panels are set on close centers, such as 19 mm (0.075 in.), providing a high surface area/volume ratio. Higher shell side velocities than comparable shell & tube exchangers produce outstanding efficiency. The plate bundle can be smaller and more compact, with weight, space and material cost savings. Hold-up volume is lower for faster response and fluid savings. Ease of cleaning is a principal advantage of this design over shell & tube. They are especially suited for dirty, high-solids-content streams.
